Celtic mystic, J. P. Newell, reminds us of Tagore's message: "Let the wisdom that was knitted into us in our mother's womb come forth again in ever in ever-fresh ways, that we may see the infinite world deep in this world and the eternal Soul in every soul...to free ourselves from the limitations of self and nation, religion and race, that we may join the one song- the world-song that is deep in the human soul and the soul of Earth."
Your emails are such spaces of clarity for me leading me towards a great depth of understanding and how to respond to this collective horror we are living through. I read them like a sacred text, paying attention to what words and phrases speak to me and what is my response. Today the words “…to see clearly without flinching” and “let us not turn away from what we see…”
Thank you so much. I carry these words with me through my day.
You are magnificent. You are here for such a time as this. Thank you. I am an aging Presbyterian pastor, who 40 years ago, stepped outside church boundaries and founded a ministry of contemplation. You give me hope. My path also crossed with Andrew Root. Blessings galore! Keep up the good work.
Relaxing into the reckoning of the obvious deep seated distortions that we are facing requires a complete letting go of our trying to fix what is beyond fixing. I agree with your assessment. Death is change and new life emerges.
Corruption as the operating system - that makes sense, thanks. And the phone deal. Thank you for thinking all this through clearly. And telling us about your thinking. A lifeline. My go-to meditation first thing in the morning (just revisit the older ones if no new one).
Let the unraveling do its work - scary and feels so right. Holding on or trying to go back is not an option. And there is so much we have and do aspire to. This is the opportunity not to respond frantically or reactively rather instead bringing the wisdom born of experience, the passion, and energy. It is time to weave ourselves together in love. I love the grounding statement and looking for the ways to live these values. Reminding ourselves and one another how it feels to love and care for one another. Practicing hope.
This may well be a time when “leadership” is no longer in order, when we are not called to be sheep(le) but collaborators in a New Creation. Certainly Cameron is a part of this Emergence. I hope you will discover how you are already a part of the Emergence as you embrace Cameron’s contribution as true.
Cameron, I fear that to withdraw from opposing the lies and distortions that are being perpetrated by the rich and powerful is to give them full say over their dominance of our democratic institutions. Is there no way to undermine and resist them that will make an impact?

So true. However, as history has shown there’s a leader to guide as in Moses, Christ and right now I don’t see one. Praying!!!
