Blessings All. I think it is important to add that it takes great courage to say you see something different from what others all believe that they see. Sadly, The Tricksters can be very persuasive. Keep speaking truth to power with courage.

People always see what they want to see. We seek affirmation of what we already believe or want to believe. I see the red and blue hat as a hat. I see red and blue states as a false binary on the spectrum of what we, for some reason, continue to call “United”.

Your questions, "who benefits from the confusion, who controls the narrative, who is being harmed, what happens when we refuse to take the bait" are important, unsettling, difficult. Trump thrives on attention. He tries to suck up all the air in the room. We must not give him more attention than he requires, yet we have to resist. Wisdom is needed. How to avoid getting sucked into his tricks and deceptions, and at the same time building a healthy community that includes and cares for everyone. His hunt for scapegoats is absolutely the opposite of Christianity.
