Loving your admonitions about power and self-deception and also your genuine care not just for the President but also for those of us being tormented by him. On the night he set 8 p.m. Eastern as the time to blow up an ancient civilization about 70 of us gathered at the United Church of Gainesville. We only knew we wanted to be together. at the end of our simple liturgy we signed the "bulletin." We copied and sent it the next day with our handwritten signatures to all the electeds in Florida, both sides. We expressed our serious concern for the President's mental health and how dangerous it was -- equivalent to letting the killer stay in the schools. We expressed this concern with as much grace and mercy left in us after the anger abates. Since then, we have received a profound response to our request for appointments. One woman cried on the phone as she set up the appointment with our local representative. Why am I rambling? Because Jesus refused to have an enemy. We must also. Instead of an attitude of F ICE, our tone must find its way, slowly, to compassion for a human terribly out of control of himself whose only direction is controlling others. Revenge? What did happen to him? We have to tell the truth. And to tell the truth with what little love we can muster.

Cameron, I appreciate greatly your finding, again and again, something worthy of being said and saying it well day after day, week after week. Your courage and heart encourage me. Yes, we are in this together.

What you say becomes glaring clearer everyday. People are not only tired of it, they are also afraid to speak out. The retaliation we have witnessed by authoritarians even in our own neighborhoods causes us not to trust. Everyday average citizens know the truth in our hearts, we whisper it in our trusted inner circles, but we do not know how to proceed from there, so we quietly go about our business - shrugging with acceptance. We need collective public support. Your daily meditation should be made more public and read every day by all people. Your words hold truth, are inspiring and give energy to the momentum to move forward - collectively.

Thank you for helping me face the day. I continue to struggle against succumbing to what someone has called The Great Disillusionment. As a native of the Deep South who has lived through over eight decades of my region’s struggle against the legacy of slavery and Jim Crow, it is devastating to see what seemed to be progress ripped apart by the very institutions that should uphold it—from the Supreme Court to the state legislature. Though I do all I can, it is hard not to feel helpless and wonder if our country is so deeply corrupted that we cannot vote ourselves out of this. You are the teacher and prophet I need.

It was so difficult and sad to read your reflection today... the TRUTH can do that to one! The Truth can also bring freedom.... keep speaking the truth... I pray that the present accumulation of collective unconsciousness be released into freedom for the people, the country and the world community.

Thank you Cameron!!!

This is not new, it is just getting worse and daily. The system is beyond self repair. Only The People can turn the tide of self destruction. As Hungary has shown the world, The People need to stand up and stop this insanity. It will not be smooth and will be ugly for quite some time, however, the alternative will be worse as we are experiencing now.

Your call to attention about the reality that is unfolding is so important! It is so easy to become accustomed, and, in effect, neutralized when responding to the reality. What I see unfolding is open racism -- from the President to the Supreme Court and to the leaders of the states The eagerness to change the elections with the specific purpose of not having to hear, see or respond to a group of citizens of the United States of America because of their color is in some ways not even shocking. And that is shocking!

"Refusing to call instability normal simply because we have grown used to it." I thought refusing to call instability normal was a GOOD thing. Instability is not normal - such as the instability certain people have because they are blind with hatred for one man. Pitiful.

I believe this train wreck has left the station, to mix a metaphor.

Short of civil war I don’t expect or even hope for a positive outcome. And I don’t think the good guys can win.

The Roman Empire lasted 600 years after the collapse of the republic.
