Gandhi's words about wanting each person to become better within their own tradition really captures the spirit of this meditaton. The idea that interfaith friendship doesnt dilute faith but deepens it is powerful. Learning to pray with poetry from Sufi mystics or sit with sufering from Buddhist teachers expands our spiritual vocabulary without erasing our own story. In a world obsessed with being right, the call to be real and present with eachother is exactly what we need

It was wonderful being in the company of you, Kosen Gregory and Imam Jamal last night. A very enriching evening - thank you for that!

Just wanted to say and agree that last night's Interfaith Friendship meeting was a breath of fresh air and glad to around/with kindred spirits. The opening video of nature (my favorite place to be), gave me pause and watery eyes. Must be the air conditioning filter. I appreciate your daily emails, prayers, and reflection questions. Your prayers alone are like poetry. I look forward to more events like last night. Thank you.

Amen, and thank you for helping me to feel less alone in my thinking.

This is so true. You have described my journey too. God is so much more than any one religion or path.

Amen to everything you’ve said here… we grow by sharing ourselves with each other, including our different ways of perceiving reality. Humans consistently try to limit God by having God all figured out. Even the Bible states that this is impossible!

'... what we can only learn from' outside our own tradition. Love that - and how you describe what that is.

Yes, we are better together! Thank you Cameron.

I never truly experienced my faith until I stepped out of my Methodist shell and experienced an Alter Call. That's when I became aware that our destination is the same but the journeys we take are different. To really appreciate the trip, I need to slow down and take some of the sideroads.

Amen! Thank you for giving eloquent voice to that which, I think, holds the kernel l of the meaning of life and the goal of faith: to grow in love beyond our certainties and beyond our parochial boundaries. This resonates deeply.
