Rev. Trimble, thank you for this set of questions. At my age, 80, I don't worry too much about being watched. Maybe that makes me a "normie". What feels worse is that I do feel that I have to watch. So often I have seen humans swirl and follow the man who shouts, "Follow me!", often to their ultimate regret. All moreso now with the introduction of AI. So I am wary of those who say they have answers, and much more willing and open to listen to, even eventually trust, those who say they have questions.
The God of loving relationships still continues to ask... to seek...WHERE ARE YOU? AND TODAY THIS LOVING QUESTION OF OUR FUNDAMENTAL RELATIONSHIP IS EVEN MORE URGENT THEN IT WAS FOR MYTHOLOGICAL FIGURES ADAM AND EVE.

Rev. Trimble, I fear that what’s been unleashed is worse than what you’ve described. What’s happening is a very concerted effort at controlling people. Maybe watching each other, watching our own behavior plays a function in control. But the ultimate desired outcome by entities in government and corporate interests is power and control.
There's even a popular saying in German: Vertrauen ist gut, Kontrolle ist besser. [Trust is ok, but control is better.] Never considered the theological basis for that before. Thank you!

A local Sunday editorial about the TPS ruling said, " A wave of cruelty is moving through our communities."
There is surveillance as control; there is surveillance primed for cruelty and punishment. We are all being tracked but there is a spectrum of fear. I may be careful about my words in social media but some people are afraid to leave their homes and are making provisions for the guardianship of their children should they,as parents, be snatched off the streets and disappeared.
The editorial called for the protection of the vulnerable by the larger community. This is a covenant relationship reverberating with God's question, " where are you?" Hiding is not an option.
Oh dear, this conjured up the song: 'Be careful, little eyes, what you see, for the Father up above is looking down with love, so be careful, little eyes, what you see.' Other verses, hands/do, feet/go. For some raised in these white evangelical DVBS spaces, this 'happy' song struck terror, for exactly what you lay out here in the beginning. Only when, many years later, I read, I think Madeleine L'Engle's, comments about God is just so in love with you, God can't keep God's eyes off you! was there any healing after the fact. That's the 'relationship' you're talking about.
