So beautiful. This reminds me of C. G. Jung's view that ultimately the fate of humanity will come down to whether enough people recognize their own shadow and engage in the real work of honest, spiritual growth transformation. But sometimes I wonder if we have time for individual-level change, given the unfolding ecological collapse and rise of totalitarianism.
I have always seen my journey as one of becoming. Some days I move forward, other days I try to hide. Thank you for your words during this season, your posts have become a marker for me as I try to become a Christian.
Thank you Rev Cameron. I look forward to your posts each day … they’ve been carrying me through this horrific dismantling of our democracy. Can’t thank you enough. Sending much love to you. 💕
So very true. We have a minister that came to Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church (Elizabeth McCauley) who you would so enjoy. She uses The Message and is so fabulous.i so loved your thoughts today.
Thank you Cameron. I enjoy your posts. However, you seem prone to a particular political bias viz anti Trump, which somehow detracts from your message. Trumpism is essentially a different side of the same coin as Democratism, leftism, Wokeism. They are both products of ignorance. One could say that the Democrats created Trump. As far as I can tell Jesus wasn’t particularly political. His message was basically based in Love and living a virtuous life. In that sense how are the Democrats any better than Trump? They are both products of ignorance. What did Jesus say on the cross, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do,” I think he was talking to the human condition in general, don’t you think?
Interesting comment, I find Cameron calling us to a third way. Calling out "trumpism" isn't an argument for the Democratic parties point of view. I find her posts always centered in the love of Jesus and neighbor. Because, as she always says: WE are in this together.

Terrifying, yes, listening to Kristin, thanks very much!
