Even from all the way over here in South Africa, the news about your elections over there has given me renewed hope. And your meditation on it was so meaningful for me - I particularly loved this paragraph:
"We are reminded again and again: we are our sibling’s keeper. We are called to love the stranger. We are charged with building a world where the hungry are fed, the oppressed are freed, and swords are beaten into plowshares."
People chose truth, care,
to be our siblings’ keepers.
“Moral compass… held.”
...
“Values... live in us...
in protest... prayer... policy...
in the voting booth.”
...
“A spiritual life...
contemplatives in action...
engaged... bind... repair.”
Amen to every sentence
