Thank you, Rev. Cameron. These days it seems as if the words from the prophets of the Hebrew Scriptures are becoming more and more relevant. I'm pretty sure Pope Francis had Ezekiel in mind when back in 2013 he reminded priests and bishops to "smell like their sheep." Sadly, right now much of the leadership coming from Washington smells like something else.
Cornel West speaks of us as having become well adjusted to injustice and well adapted to indifference. The way before us is difficult beyond what most people are willing to admit. We will learn the meaning of mutual care and mutual aid. I am committed to love right up until the moment I tip over.
