Thank you Cameron for this meditation. I loved Dolly for what she stood for. She may have worn flashy clothes, but she exuded love and generosity. She gave generously. She didn't put on airs. She may have been a poor farm girl, but she knew what she wanted in life. With her faith, grit, perseverance, and love of people, Dolly succeeded. I only hope that when I am gone, I will have left something that I will be remembered for.
Your reflection names so well what Dolly was for me and others. She’s a great role model in living the ways of Jesus and other faiths based on compassion.
Beautiful tribute - you said everything that I've been thinking (and much of what I've posted in tribute to her). She was definitely an example of how Jesus calls us to live. She could have been a billionaire, but she gave so much of her wealth away. She lived John 15:12 and Luke 6:38. ❤️
