We in Europe are gratified that there is still one sane leader in the West. Now praying that the Canadian PM's vision will expand our leaders' worldviews as well. Thank you, Canada!

What do you say about Mexico?!

In this space and time, in particular, our Prime Minister should make every Canadian extremely proud. However, we are human!!!

Hopefully, on the world stage his speech will spark some back bone in the world stage.

But, then there was Trump!!!

Proud to be Canadian. We are with you, Americans who think alike and know there are many of you.

I am an elderly Canadian. Your quote from Pierre Teilhard de Chardin reminds me of my job as a librarian assistant in the 1960s. I came across Pierre's book THE PHENOMENON OF MAN and was fascinated by the title and ultimately his vision. When I read your fulsome tribute re Mark Carney's Davos speech I celebrated your mystic / grounded insight.

Thank you once again for your reflection today...I am Canadian and with pride and tears I listen to his speech with hope for all of humankind and our hurting world...and I forward your reflection to all my friends....and my Prime Minister.

Cameron, you always bring morning order to my life. I am a white woman born and raised in the US married to a US naturalized citizen from Mexico. I just read the comments, and most were from Canadians. I have been rooting for Mark Carney since I saw him on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. He has not disappointed and hopefully he will bring back truth and justice to the world. I am so honored that Canada to the north and Mexico to the south are our neighbors and continue with sane conversation and are not bowing down to the embarrassment we have here as a president.

Each day I look for reasons to Hope and give thanks to people who inspire me to believe there is a way out of what appears to be no way out. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney delivered both Hope and a Path Forward. Thank you Mark Carney for your courage and honesty and for being a beacon of Light in the darkness… And thank you Cameron for articulating the impact of his speech so clearly and beautifully. 🕊️💞🙏💞🕊️

Carmen, thank you for sharing wisdom and common sense. I have a phrase that helps to guide my actions as a minister and journalist: "Life is not a spectator sport." As we watch what is happening to our country, we must prepare to act and prevent the erosion of democracy. These are delicate days and soon we will be force to decide and act. May God grant us wisdom, grace, and wisdom.

This is what adult leadership sounds like. No chest-thumping, no apocalypse cosplay, no “strongman” fantasy. Just someone naming the rupture without selling despair or domination as the solution. In a moment addicted to spectacle, calm truth-telling feels almost rebellious. If that makes some people uncomfortable, good. Growth usually does.

As a Canadian and engaged citizen who helped elect Mark Carney I/we are proud and grateful for the exposure and affirmation of this rare leader on the world stage. Thanks Cameron for highlighting our PMs speech and for all Americans who recognize true leadership.

To refuse despair...

facing what’s real, ruptures, deaths.

Despite this and that.

...

To lead, inspire with

honesty, humility.

Moral alignment.

...

To trust shared effort.

Past politics. Thank, learn from

Canada’s Carney.

As a Canadian, I am very proud, comforted and somehow confident after listening to Prime

Minister Mark Carney's address on Tuesday.

Thank you, Cameron, for clarifying what the Prime Minister did and did not do. It was certainly a refreshing and honest interpretation of where we all are.
