I just wanted to say how moving I found this post. Choosing to remain is everything isn't it?
I think there's sometimes this feeling that we have to pick a side: this one or that one, fight/ resist/ protest vs give up/ turn away/ numb our feelings/ pretend it isn't happening, but of course, as with so many things, life is rarely binary. Choosing to remain is exactly as you describe it Cameron: a willingness to walk alongside one another and be present.
Thank you so much for this, Rev. Trimble. It's so important in these difficult times to show up, not turn away, and bear witness to each other's suffering, which is our own suffering. Lovely tribute to Robert Thurman.
Thankyou for this Beautiful tribute to Robert Thurman. I knew him very well for many years and he had a huge impact on my life. I love the way you've written about him and the Buddhist concept of Bodhisatva. Thank you for your powerful missives every day. You are incredible.
We are all just walking each other home. There is no separation. Thank you for this homily/ reading. We can only be present and live in love. We are in this together! Amen!🙏🏻

Thank you, Rev. Cameron. Yes, being present for another is a beautiful thing!

May we dare to care,
to tend to those who need it.
No one left behind.
...
May we stay, focused
on what works for greater good.
We-world needs workers.
...
May we stay, steadfast
resist, insist in we-world.
The clock is ticking.
Realizing we are not separate and deeply connected is the foundational understanding of the peace that is our foundational reality.
We are all just walking each other home. There is no separation. Thank you for this homily/ reading. We can only be present and live in love. We are in this together! Amen!🙏🏻
