Down For the Count
A Meditation by Rev. Cameron Trimble
Dear Ones,
It seems that I have returned from my travels with warm memories of being with friends…and a case of the flu. I am down for the count today.
For now, I offer this recent photo from our 10 acre regenerative farm/community garden, the Common Good Farm. In this photo, Finley, our english springer spaniel, is supervising my hay bale tossing technique. She is definitely the boss around here.
We are currently harvesting broccoli, collards, carrots, onions, garlic, cauliflower, spinach, swiss chard, romaine lettuce and arugala. It’s been a good winter growing season.
We are also now getting our seedlings started for the spring. We will grow 48 varieties of heirloom vegetables as well as welcome a new flock of baby chicks. Even in the midst of collapse, life flows on. Life, death, life again.
To that end, I pass along this song to accompany you over the weekend as a form of meditation. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
I hope to be back in my regular rhythm next week. Take good care of yourself.
We are in this together,
Cameron
