Institutions neither act nor hesitate; people within institutions do those things - but as our Supreme Court has asserted, they have some aspects analogous to living creatures, and one that stands out to me is that institutions act in their own perceived 'self-interest.' As does our sociopathic narcissist-in-chief. We are in This together, and the mutual encouragement and support of persons of faith and integrity - which you and your meditations distill - is a bulwark against fatigue, discouragement, and every preliminary form entropy.
Rev. Cameron, the psalm quote at the beginning set the tone and offers a lens of hope from which to view the egregious actions that target us daily. You masterfully follow the thread of confusion by skillfully weaving it into the tactic of disorientation. What a tangled mess!
This daily attack on my moral sensibility could leave me weary by its "single blows;" however, my daily prayer and contemplation reorient me and emboldens me. Rooted in Gospel imperatives I stand publicly in protecting democratic process and to honor the dignity of the human person. As I write this, I contemplate Jesus defiantly saying to the Devil, when offered the kingdoms of the world, "Get behind me Satan." Thank you.
The antithesis to corruption is purity. When we hold our allegiance to the Source of creation as our primary focus, this focus shapes our reality. Distortions fade and clear sight is available. It takes discipline and perseverance to hold to and be held by the intelligence of wisdom, and we have been given this capacity through the most beautiful profound relationship of grace as a gift to receive, a secure foundation from which to live. No amount of corruption can distort our resonate discernment of this truth as long as we remain in alignment. The vine and the branches are a living reality.

If it weren’t for the people of Minnesota, there wouldn’t be any opposition. The leaders of freedom lead from the rear behind desks, podiums and town hall rallies. Where is today’s JFK or MLK? Trump’s Administration, SCOTUS and The Republican Party are committing treason and nobody is trying to stop them.
