Piloting Faith: Connecting to our greatest source of wisdom...

A Word for the Day...
"I should have trusted my gut when I was 28 years old," he said, as he said as he reflected on his 17-year career at the company that just terminated his employment. "I always wanted to work in the non-profit sector. I never made the jump. But I always wanted to serve others. I don't know why I stayed here."
"I wanted to work for a traveling nursing program, but my family would have judged me. I wanted to help people around the world. It was like I couldn't NOT do it...until I thought about what my mother would say. Then I applied to a hospital program close to home and just stayed here," she said. "Now at 50, I want to tell all the younger people to follow their dreams. Their guts will tell them what they are called to do."
Our intuitions are our superpowers as humans. Our bodies know what our heads sometimes don't. We say, "I had a gut feeling," or "I felt a vibe." Our first feeling is often our wisest insight. Our bodies are designed to allow us to access a source of wisdom beyond words and logic.
For many people today, our bodies are simply the transportation system for our minds. We are so disconnected from our bodies, our incarnated wisdom, that we don't feel, sense, taste, see or hear much of anything. We live in a virtual reality of online stimulation and left-brained logic puzzles.
The work of our age is to rediscover the connection between mind, body, and soul which is essential to our awakening and spiritual maturity. God speaks through all of them. You are only getting half the message if you only "logic" out your life with your mind.
Today, go outside and close your eyes. Observe what you sense, see, hear, feel, and smell. Be patient. Stay still for a while. Dare to welcome what the world can teach you. Then repeat.

Prayer for the Week
God,
In every season,
In every moment,
May I find Your presence calling me
more fully into myself. Remembering,
I am your beloved child.
You are waiting for me. Always.
Amen.
