Piloting Faith: The power of subtle change...
A Word for the Day...
I wear clothes that are either black or white. Sometimes I wear jeans which are blue. But that's it. I don't vary my wardrobe much. I started doing this a few years ago because I was traveling so much that I needed to be able to "grab and go." I needed the safety of being able to mix an outfit without the fear that I forgot the matching shoes or the necklace that made the whole outfit come together.
I like wearing black and white. I like the simplicity.
But last week, a woman at an event told me that I needed to wear bright green. Or I could wear pink, she said, but it has to be a fuschia pink, not a pale pink. The blood left my face and my palms began to sweat. "What???" I thought, "Mess up my wardrobe with color???"
Carolyn Myss once said, "Color is powerful. Select a color you don't normally wear and introduce that into your wardrobe. This changes the energy in your field, including your sense of self."
Our challenge for the week is to discover how subtle changes can open us to new perceptions of what is possible - even preferred - in our life.
Grey is a color, right? Maybe I will try grey...

Prayer for the Week
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
- St. Francis of Assisi
