Piloting Faith - A Daily Meditation

A Word for the Day...
 Bravery isn't a gift some people are born with and not others. Bravery is learned. It's practiced. You learn to be brave:
 ...when you hear a racist comment and speak up instead of staying silent.
 ...when you have the hard conversations we need to have today instead of trivializing them;
 ...when you march in the PRIDE parade in the face of hecklers;
 ...when you vote for your highest and kindest values even when it means that you break with your own party;
 ...when you let your own child try, fail and learn about their own bravery.

 I'm learning to be brave every day. Some days are better than others. But I will keep practicing. Maybe in enough of us find our courage and kindness, we can reshape the world free of oppressive hate.

Prayer for the Day
 May the Peace of Christ be with you, wherever God may send you;
 May you be guided through the wilderness and protected in the storms;
 May you find your people on the journey, the tribe that will deeply know you and accompany you on the way;
 May you find in your returning, you are forever changed, by all you learn along the way.

 Amen.
