Piloting Faith - A Daily Meditation

A Word for the Day...
If you travel far enough,
one day you will recognize yourself
coming down the road to meet you.
And you will say
YES.
--Marion Woodman
'We walk in shoes too small for us' is a phrase that Swiss psychologist Carl Jung used to describe the choices so many of us make to limit ourselves, our talents, and our passions to fit better our sense of how we “should be” in this world.
I think a bunch of us are done walking in shoes that are too small, at least when it comes to equal rights. My hope for these days of deep fear, frustration, anxiety, and conflict is that we are busting out of our shoes. They are too small. Too limiting. Too oppressive. We are done with them. The tearing is necessary because we must get them all the way off, not just loosened a bit. We need them off so that we are free to find our new way of walking in the world, you free to be you, and me free to be me.
